I so much prefer Ian Hutchinson or any other TT rider for that matter. I just can't warm to him.
Really. I like him, what you see is what you get with him, doesn't blame anyone or anything else if things aren't going well. A straight talker and not overly corporate. Wouldn't want to fall out with him though!
Not sure how much respect I can hold for Hutchinson after the press conference post senior tt.

Michael Dunlop is just a proper racer. Doesn't bother me if he isn't media friendly etc. Hadn't seen the press conference yet, but damn. Someone's salty. I guess there is more to it than we know, as does seem a bit out of character.
As an aside, I've always liked Gary Johnson. Just seems like such a dude. Shame he had such a shitty week.
Agree Hutchy seemed a bit full of excuses but fair play he must have been gutted to be passed and nothing takes away from his achievements.
And as for MD - nuts. So close to 134.
I've never met Hutchy or Michael Dunlop so I don't know what they're like but my mates were in the paddock early last week & got their photo taken with MD,they said he came across as a nice bloke,so different to the image that comes across on the telly.Maybe he's happy to meet the general public but doesn't like media types? 😆
Love Dunlop. Hutchy ain't too shabby either.
Should keep the battle on the road though.
Hutch wears two hats when ever he hasn't got helmet on
Enough reason not to like him in my book
I was most impressed with an old mate of mine called dan hegarty. Ended up top privateer.
Used to race with him and then spannerd for him at the R 6 cup meetings. He's had a bit of a rough time of it with bikes and injuries so to see him making a name for himself again was brilliant.
As for Dunlop, hell, what's not to like. A man who's not scared to go it alone, do his own thing even at the risk of the corporate bods dropping him. But he's that quick that he'll always get sponsors and always get bikes.
And as for MD - nuts. So close to 134.
Liked his quote about how if he'd known he was so close to 134 that he'd have pushed a bit harder 🙂

Just gone back to read That Near Death Thing again. Worth a read if you're interested in the characters.
MD - I've warmed to him a lot this TT. Seems much more relaxed than previously and just appears to want to get the jo done.
He made the right engine choice for the senior, IH did not apparently.
TBH cannot see anyone catching these two. John McG might but he is outgunned at the moment and power to weight ratio likely works against him.
James Hillier is harsh on himself.
They're all quite odd....by necessity I guess.I like Bruce Anstey though,when he's awake 😀 .

He needs to stop shaving the beard off. He seems to go slower when clean shaven.
I fear for Dunlop. He seems too intense and 'win it or bin it' mentality, which is not the attitude to have at the TT.
If he's not top he comes across as huffy/about to kill someone and just can't take to him. Easy to form opinions based on tv coverage but most of the other riders seem less up-tight.
