Just leave it. We seem to be back on a more respectful tack, let's keep it there eh?

Well fair enough, but theres a lot of request for clarity in this thread, and now I've three different scenario's I'm expected to believe regarding how the OP has approached this thread since Thursday last week.

Based on that, am I really expected to apply sympathy to the OP based on his apparent remorse over the weekend when he is making an effort to point out that he was aware of the content before said weekend, despite the fact he previously denied being aware of the content since two days before that?

I'm not attacking him personally, I'm merely demonstrating that in his request for people to understand and empathise with his content regarding such a sensitive subject in here, he'd do well to be consistent with his facts therefore lending himself to be more believable and trustworthy.

No not remotely, I neither need nor want it.

hen he is making an effort to point out that he was aware of the content before said weekend, despite the fact he previously denied being aware of the content since two days before that?

Is that remotely important? I stopped reading on Friday, I made a mistake in saying Thursday.

I'm not attacking him personally

Well you are but I don't I have a problem with that; I think you're right to do it, I actively encourage you to do it. You cannot debate with challenging a person's views, so, bring it on (but we should try to do that respectfully).

he'd do well to be consistent with his facts therefore lending himself to be more believable and trustworthy.

Thursday/Friday, sorry I made a mistake.

I don't think you know what that word means.

Hey you know what turns out I don't! It's a word my wife uses and I hadn;'t heard before. She uses it an a synonym for generally feeling down, unhappy or depressed. Turns out that's not remotely correct. I stand corrected, thankyou for pointing that out.

Well you are

I'm not attacking you geetee, I'm highlighting some flaws in your argument. We'll agree to disagree regarding your awareness of the thread content since last Thursday.

As you were, I wish you all the best seeking resolution here and elsewhere.

(Respectfully) Can we get back on topic?

There has been a social media campaign to highlight the prevalence of sexual assault against women doing the rounds in the past few days. Is it just me who's shocked (but deep down not entirely surprised) but just how prevalent and normalised such behaviour towards women appears to be?

As a bloke, I'm left wondering "what can I do"?

Just a reminder of the OP. Shame his question descended into an ego-fest laced with personal attacks. Almost as if the subject itself was less interesting.

I can understand (and even welcome) that kind of derailment if discussing cars, or gnar-genre, but not so much with this topic. But good to see people making attempts at amends.

So at least one answer to the OP 'as a bloke, what can I do?' .... is for us blokes to 'stay on topic'.

Like a soap opera, I hope we can move to a point where nothing is hidden, but in a case like this I also hope the facts can come out properly.
