Hi fountain of knowledge. Can anyone recommend places to stay this summer in Meribel that is bike friendly? Looking to go when the TDF is in town which might make things tricky. It's our first time driving over and on and off road riding in Europe so many tips very welcome.

Not Maribel related but checked the governments brexit ready page yesterday and it looks like an international driving permit will be needed for France...
Merible isn't as open in the summer as it should be. it gets better each year but still only a small fraction of what It is in the winter.
nevertheless, when the world cup came to town it was 3 x as busy as winter!
Alpine Ethos in Meribel-les Allues are usually pretty good. they hosted the Saracen team and truck a few years ago.
