Foreskin, to be more specific. I have had bouts phimosis (narrowing of the opening of said skin) over the last few years which have left minute little scars on its tip. Now then, when 'aroused' these little scars break (due to the enormity of my lad), and the whole thing becomes extremely painful, this is starting to cause 'difficulties' with the wife.

I've internet-diagnosed myself and have utilised various web-based treatment suggestions, such as gentle stretching of the fore, or should I say, three-skin; hydrocortisone cream, and abstention (not for long through).

I'm loathed to visit a urologist, but I'm starting to think that the dreaded C-word is the going to be the only option.

Has anyone experienced anything like this, or even had a later-on-in-life circumcision experience that they wish to share.

Thanks, sorry for the gruesome details.

A boy (friends with his father) had it done aged about 10.

I think he was pretty uncomfortable for a couple of weeks, then all fine.

If not the end - where did they do it?

About 7 years ago I damaged my frenulum. No idea how but when it healed the scar tissue made everything to tight for the foreskin to retract. Back then I had a Frenuloplasty which was awful. It was a VERY local anaesthetic that still makes me feel sick to think about.
The same problem reoccurred last year and I was advised to have the foreskin removed as a Frenuloplasty does not work in the long run.
It was done under general anaesthetic just after my 32nd birthday last November. It was very painful for the first few days with a lot of bruising, uncomfortable for the first few weeks and wearing jogging bottoms around the office was embarrassing. I don’t miss it and I am glad I had it done.

edit: they had it done for the same reason as you. I don't think they tried other stuff first - simply ...

Ladies love a lot of foreplay...perhaps you are needing more as well to get it all settled and ready...

I've got pinhole phimosis but, luckily, nothing's too big to try to force through and is in full working order.

My mate keeps telling me to get the C done but doc says it's fine and the link to that thread has put me off.......

Two friends of mine - for reasons neither has ever explained - had a circumcision done at the same time as their vasectomies.

One had no problems, back at work within a few days, and is happily married to a stunning yoga instructor.

The other got an infection, spent 3 months off work unable to wear anything but very long baggy t-shirts, and got divorced.

So it could go either way....

Yeah I've had it done. At the age of 30.
I don't mind talking about it (in public) or on a forum as
a) I'm not particularly bothered
b) I tell people it's because my penis is so massive it outgrew even my own skin.

I won't lie though - it wasn't pleasant.
Various 'inspections' had to take place, then the op (under general ani) and then a good while, maybe a month I guess, of pretty severe discomfort whilst it all healed.
Having stitches in the fella isnt very comfortable either and really makes you wince if you're inclined to welcoming in the day with a bit of morning glory.

If you work in a fairly 'laddie' environment like I do then you need to expect to take some stick too as it's impossible to disguise that something is up down there for a little while afterwards.

All of that said, it's all fine now and there's no way I (or my wife!) could've continued as it was.

In summary - take Nikes advice and Just Do It.

Mate of mine had it done about two years ago, mid forties. Similar story to you. They had a go at the loosening cream and stretching, but reckoned for most people who had enough discomfort to consider it, the stretching is a long shot. Surgery a half day job, recovery about six weeks for normal function, six months to basically stop thinking about it /forget about it.

Symptoms you are describing sound like balanitis xerotica obliterans.

Basically hardening skin on your glans and foreskin. Can be treated with circumscsion and then it goes away.

I had it done last year at age of 33. Bit swollen afterwards but not too bad! All good now, few weeks off the bike though!

Had it done in my 20's for the same reason. Some discomfort plus poor advice from the hospital with regards removing dressings post op, probably meant it took longer to heal!

My son is having the same issues as I had, they have gave him cream to loosen it, I'm not holding out much hope of success with it!

I suffered this only a few months ago, very painful tearing.
I just thought I was being a ****### too much and now that I have addressed the issue and giving a lot more, I have received healing karma.

😆 😆

I had exactly the same problem for years.
Kept putting off seeing the doctor.
Eventually at 34 went for a circumcision and vasectomy at same time under general anaesthetic.
Everything was fine, no pain, just a few dissolvable stitches to scare the girls with.
Wish I had gone at 18 and had it done then (not the vasectomy)

Had mine done at 13 as there was too much meat on my sausage even at that age. Mine went wrong it got infected, they used an adhesive dressing indtead of a none adhesive, it ripped the stitches out when they went to clean things up. Back into surgery I went not the best Christmas I've had.

Yep - apart from the embarrassment of having various tests done etc I had mine done when I was about 45. No problems except that you cannot excited for a few days after the op (if you know what I mean)

Had the same thing as the OP. Tried the stretching and cream, but didn't work. Stupidly it took me a few years to get around to seeing my GP about it (due to being embarrassed ). Had also looked at threads like this on the internet which had made me more worried about it! Anyway had a circumcision a couple of months ago (at 45).

It was fine - no real pain, just some discomfort until the stitches dissolved and the helmet became used to not having it's little hat on. I was back on my bike within a month. Wished I'd got it sorted sooner.

A vasectomy at the age of 34

Why not? If he doesn't want anymore kids then it's a great option.

Snapped my banjo and had the lot off. 18 sodding stitches looked like a crown of thorns but it was ok apart from pleasant dreams turning nasty!
The trick was to make a dressing like a dog's 'cone of shame' - allowed peeing but stopped any more stitches turning 🙂

3 kids by that point really didn't want or need any surprises. Just removing my socks seemed to risk generating offspring.

That's the problem ^^. Most folk have a favourite sock which serves for pregnancy avoidance duty. Keep the sock on...
