Planning an off road route from Bristol to Croscombe nr Wells, but the only bit I'm finding hard to find routes is from Black Down over to Croscombe, which all seems to be little lanes rather than off road. Is anyone familiar with this area, can you recommend an interesting route?

West mendip way?
Crap getting to Priddy from Blackdown but lots offroad then Durston drove bridleway across to Pen hill mast then bridlway to Horrington a bit of lane work then offroad across the East Mendip way .There will be people on here who are not luddites like me who will have mapped it !

durston drove then down the hill as you turn left a small b/way on left ...get to the end then head straight into Well's bishops palace ..Tor woods leading into kings castle wood leading to Dinder woods then a bit of road to Croscome .......then give me a bell and we can meet at the Horseshoe pub just along the road for a pint
