I appreciate the other thread was closed and why - hopefully this one won't head in the same direction. If the mods see fit to close this, then so be it.
I also appreciate and have empathy for boris's view on the subject matter
However, just wanted to give a little update on the situation, as some of the guys are friends I've made whilst working away from home.
I was speaking to Tomo the other day (he's the guy who complained about the initial response from the Hospice). he's one of the nicest guys you could wish to meet btw and not a knuckle dragging neanderthal rugby 'lad'
Anyway, apart from maybe one or two comments on the hospices page, they have received a raft of support for what they do.
The hospice has since apologised for their actions. They have been contacted by a representetive from the LBGT communtiy, who have given their support, stating that it's absolutely not offensive (to them at least). They are now supporting MIND with their charity work, who wholeheartedly support it. The yearly fundraiser will be going ahead and will possibly have some drag queens coming to support the cause after being contacted by Absolutely Dragulous
I guess someone, somewhere will be offended, but in my eyes, it does more good than harm
