Said I'd start a new thread after The Northman one.
Well, this, Alex Garland's latest, is not as good as The Northman. I'd say probably the worst film I've seen at the cinema lately*. It's not rubbish, it's just a bit too silly. The first hour has some very tense moments, nicely done brooding sense of fear. All looks really good and of course Jessie Buckley is great. Rory Kinnear is funny/weird playing all the village's male characters (not a spoiler, it's in the trailer). But why? Cos we 'men' are all the same? Who knows. Then it all goes tits up. 😆

*but then I haven't seen Top Gun Maverick arf!
