After 12 months of looking and being on waiting lists, we finally brought Toby home last week.

So far so good. No accidents, he likes his crate, he is hilarious and he has really bonded with solarider jnr. The 2 of them are inseparable.

Now that he is 10 weeks old and fully vaccinated we were able to take him out for the first time today and although he was nervous at first, he did really well. Everybody we meet thinks he's a French Bulldog, when in fact he's a Boston Terrier. Easy mistake to make at this age.

I now place eau de puppy slightly behind GT85 as one of my favourite smells!

Looking forward to years of fun ahead.

The bond between a boy and his dog is really something special.

Blimey, those pictures are almost enough to make me want kids too! I think I'll still stick with dogs though. Awesome looking pup 👍

3 things I said I would never do:

1) Live in the centre of London (did it and loved it - then lived in the centre of Hong Kong and Singapore because London just wasn’t busy enough clearly!).

2) Have kids (honestly Tom B, for anybody in doubt it really is the meaning of life).

3) Have a dog (always thought that a dog was too messy and constraining).

Haven’t regretted any of the choices. Only that I didn’t do them when I was younger.

Maybe choice 1 was always at odds with choices 2 and 3, and it’s early days for choice 3, but now we have a garden and trails on the doorstep, happy days!

Robbie - Would love to see some pictures of Toby and Pippa. You don’t see many about.

I can’t recommend a dog/puppy to anyone enough(only if you have the time for the commitment)

Dogs are great companions and good for your mental health.

….. ridiculous name though.

My parents have had two rescue spaniels called Toby, both have been utterly ridiculous in their own ways!

*not mine, dog sitting.
