Any 2 digit number – its digits = multiple of 9
eg. 56 – 5 – 6 = 45
Can 9 go into 45? Yes.
to prove it heres another
72 – 7 – 2 = 63
Can 9 go into 63? Yes.

your left with 6

Basically any number you come up with is, as has been pointed out, a multiple of 9.
If you look on the table, all the numbers that are multiples of 9 are the same gift.
The system randomly changes the gift on the multiples of 9 each time you play to mask what is happening.
