In Feb I reported our 19yo Tabby has passed and since about May, my daughter (11) has been asking for a Kitten she wanted to name Bobby (the spelling here is intentionally different to the thread title - all will become clear). So, last week we went to a rescue home where some kittens had been dumped and brought this little tyke home:

Advertised as a Male he was named Bobby form the outset as soon as he arrived home. However the Vets Kitten Assessment yesterday revealed Bobby is actually Bobbi.
Timing is deliberate, we wanted to pick a time of year when we’d all be home for 6-8 weeks Bobbi would be left alone shortly after arriving. She’s made herself at home very quickly, is very well trained and has already explored the top of the Christmas Tree several times 🫤
She's beautiful .
Aaaw lookit!

We got three from the same litter, one of which went to my partner's son (they chose it, it wasn't a surprise gift, we're not daft). There was a ginger each, both of which turned out - vanishingly unusually - to be girls. We renamed ours, he didn't rename theirs which is how they've got a female cat named Neville.
(The litter's mother was Kevin so I expect there's previous here...)
😍
Well they say that a black cat crossing your path is unlucky, and TBF, there's a good chance that's going to leg you up if you're walking round the house after dark, you 'aint seeing it!
Lovely looking kitten, makes a change to see a cat pic on here amongst all the dogs, (of which I'm a guilty party).
Being over 50 tthew, walking around after dark is inevitable. Luckily we have a cream carpet upstairs between the bedroom and the bathroom…..
Christmas kitty chaos!

Aw...
Definitely good luck in our family.
Much like the story above...
Our female ginger cat was called Gus
Lol, she's very cute!
Bobbi will be awesome.
Margot says hi. Well, she would if she wasn't asleep 😉

Like
.
lol, loving the Margot pic. Bobbi has already taken to giving my wife a heart attack by walking along the upstairs banister / rail that borders the landing….
Pudding says hi! He showed up about this time last year as a poor wee abandoned starving kitten in the garden. Now firmly established as the boss. We assume that he wandered over the fields from a farm. He was also misgendered initially by the vets! 🤣

We’re twice as unlucky in that case… this is Bonnie and Bianca*. We got them under similar circumstances to Kryton, they were the last two in a litter and we just couldn’t leave one of them behind!

We have two cats at the moment but they aren't ours, we look after them for a charity - a brilliant way to have a cat(s) and help a charity - no pictures obviously, they are great fun although they usually take a while to come out of their shell, super friendly when they do. If you are near to Bolton I'd totally recommend and there is always a waiting list of cats needing shelter
Fred in his Christmas nest 🙂

Che says hello too. Now I've got my turbo trainer set up for the winter, complete with mat, he just thinks I've installed a massive cat bed for him. Che was the last of his litter who was left. We couldn't leave him there on his own.

Stanley that look says one false move and the tree gets it ! 😁
I took a load of pictures... that's the happiest he looked! Lol!
one of ours - Arthur....
Skittles says HI

Hunter doesnt care, about anything....
both rescues. I didnt want a cat

King Hamish want to let you know that out of all his minions, you are the least worthy. Ex distillery mouser, took 2 years before he would let me stroke even his head. Lost him to a heart attack in October and can never replace him.
Good looking cat - looks like mine did a long time ago. If her behaviour is the same you're in for a treat.
Our blind rescue cat, she has a genetic disease so lost her eyesight at two years old. Luckily, she had mapped the house and garden by that point, so still runs around like a lunatic, we just can’t move furniture around 🙂

I had to make a poster to put on the local Whatsapp group because this mercenary little sod was clearly having about 27 meals a day in various local houses. One of the neighbours walked into their kitchen to find him up on their worktop, tucking into some sausages, having sneaked in through an open window. He did a runner and arrived home carrying a full sausage in his gob 😂

Wireface as a fairly mad looking kitten.

Luckily he's grown up to be a totally normal cat 🙂
My much missed companion

Ollie/Oliver

He looks like Cougar's Mollie, and has a similar story to Bobbi. The RSPCA named him Olive and sent 'her' to be spayed, then realised she was a he.
Here he is just after being rescued and after we'd had him for a couple of months.

He loves a belly rub so now that he's not having to survive whatever horrible situation he was in before he was rescued, he spends most of his life asleep on a bed or sofa, and 90% of his awake time is like this:

Merry Christmas Bobbi! (Dexter's not found his festive spirit yet..)

Lola and Charlie would say Hi, but they're both doing what they do, which today seems to mostly be snoozing
Have a lovely Christmas Bobbi, and the family you now own.

Skittles can take selfies?😀
I'll be cat sitting this little guy over Christmas so my sister can get away for a few days.

He arrived at about a year of age after being placed in a toolbox wrapped in cling film then left on a shelf in an adult education college for at least a week, presumably as somebody's idea of a joke. Not a happy cat when he was found, but became my sister's by default a few months after her husband had died. Loves her, tolerates me, everybody else can get to ****. The luckiest cat in Lancashire.
He looks like Cougar’s Mollie
He has 33% more legs than Mollie.
(Dexter’s not found his festive spirit yet..)
That's a shoo-in for the Disapproving Cats Facebook group.

I did wonder if that was an optical illusion or if she really was a tripod!
Our two weirdo's. Devon Rex, so house cats, but we do let them in the garden sometimes

Found the other one. Bramble was probably a dog in a former life, as she loves chewing everything, cardboards a favourite (she'll probably have 'unwrapped' everyone's presents before we make it downstairs on Christmas morning), and she's burrowed into the settee.

The hell is wrong with people?
I get that some folk don't like cats (or dogs or [insert pet choice here]) but to actively torture one should have you put on some sort of register.
This thread is supposed to be about the OP’s kitten
…which was meant to illicit the response that is indeed happening. Keep it up, my daughter and I suspect many others is loving it.
Very cute. I guess you don’t live in Scotland.

One of our previous cats, many moons ago, came home with a chicken thigh in his gob
George as a kitten, now sadly gone to the great catfood dispenser in the sky aged 19

One of ours came home with a koi carp from the neighbour's pond.
Minka would say hi, but you know, busy
The blue thing is the liner pocket out my old sailing jacket I put ground catnip into, he's had it since he was a kitten and its kind of like a comfort blanket.
The unit he's lying on is about 30" wide, so he's a pretty big cat as they go.

It’s a good picture so I had to post it twice,,,,

Bobbi now aka Fast Bobbi is settling in well. She loves our wooden and kitchen floors, full on running, while spinning and drifting around the bottom of the floor of the house, funny to watch as long as you aren’t carrying anything delicate. A real tear away, she runs very fast. All is good and she’s learning the ropes, apart from chewing through some Xmas lights, obsessed with walking on keyboards and iPads, and jumping from floor to lap using her front claws to hang on to your thigh…. Ouch!
Bobbi does look like a proper tearaway. I don’t think anything on earth has more energy than a kitten.
We were kitten-sitting last month for some friends. This is Flo, who also loves walking on keyboards, having a scrap with any wires or cables that happen to be around and generally zooming around like a nutter

I trust that you’ve completed all the necessary paperwork…
Bobbi looks just like a kitten we had years ago - Eddie. He was a complete nut job too.
She's a beaut!
proper tearaway
don’t think anything on earth has more energy than a kitten
nut job
All of these currently resonate 😂😬
Thanks

Pip says hi! She has only been with us for three weeks from the local shelter and is already running us ragged…
