As title really, after nearly 2 years of waiting I’m going in for medial epicondyle release (golfers elbow), soft tissues repair, tendon replacement and carpal tunnel surgery tomorrow.

I’m guessing a long lay off from physical activities is inevitable, anybody had the surgery? How long did you take to recover? What was the post surgery recovery and pain like?

As mentioned in a previous thread regarding work, I have handed my notice in so no more manual labour for me. Got myself an operations manager role working 30 hours a week.. practically part time for me. Looking forward to the new challenge. I’m guessing I’ll be ok to start there at the beginning of August?

Carpal tunnel only here. They used a probe thing and it just left a two stitch scar. The hand was back in use within a couple of weeks, fully useable after a couple of months and is now stronger than the other one. Not very painful. I can play guitar again 🙂

Tennis elbow operated on 10 years ago. Practically without pain within 24 hours of the op.
Lots of walking for a couple of weeks before getting back on the bike, but no pulling on the handlebars. Manual screwdrivers and club hammers are a thing of the past!
No repeat

I had my right elbow repaired around 7 years ago and it’s been spot on ever since . A couple of days pain with it and then just being as careful as possible with it for a few weeks . My left elbow has been playing up for a while now exactly the same as the other one 😩
