Trying to avoid the current trend for skin tight / bib-long esque powerstretch or similar.
Best things I owned (now retired to the recycling bin this week) was some old ME Ultrafleece sallopettes.
Does anyone know of anyone who makes such things anymore?
If not, an alternative super-quick drying, warm(ish) mid-layer for paddling and walking the winter away in...?

Think you did well there, ultrafleece is almost indestructable.. I like ME kit, best thing recently is a pair of ME trousers, great fit, zips at the leg bottoms... bit stretchy, bit water/windproof...

Think its Ibex Pant

Try www.hilltrek.co.uk they make stuff to measure, as well as normal sizes. They do a fleece trouser made from karisma fleece. It is near as I can tell to the stuff you want.

Buffalo or Montane salopettes - just seem *too* warm for much of the time, and when paddling I do find a proper waterproof is needed over the top.
Paramo - is next option, but they have stopped making them in 'high back', to buy a pair of powerstretch sallopettes and a pair of Aspira sallopettes.
Just quite connected to the ME things - the seem v adaptable - I wear them with waterproof trousers, and can add good baselayer underneath in real cold.

matt the ones ive got are padded anw water/snow proof intended use snowboarding/skiing...decent salopettes, otherwise i use paramo velez and beleive me they do the buisness with a thermal tight underneath you dont need anything else, you just need to reproof the nixwax coting every few months dead easy add it in the washing machine.
let me no if size l black is any use for you ill sell them at half price even though tey still have tags on?

Extreme Outdoor Clothing http://extremeoutdoorclothing.com/

They do salopettes in K2 (karisma) fabric. I've got some of their Ranger and Atlas trousers and they've been great. If I remember correctly you give some measurements when ordering so fit is assured. Not certain, but I think they might be UK made as well.

What size Ultrafleece salopettes are you after? I may have a pair lying around not doing very much at all.

Sorry petal, I'm a medium. Karismna/K2 is pretty much the same fabric as Ultrafleece btw. Also Polartec's WindPro fabric is similarly densely woven stuff, but expensive.

It's a shame Rab doesn't make a VapourRise salopette, that would work.
