Just got a text from Vodafone telling me I have tickets to go to the McLaren tech centre. Shame it will only be for 2 hours and be a 'punter tour' so I won't get to chat them up about work stuff. Maybe I can leave a few business cards lying around? (I'm self employed)

Strange as I was thinking it would be nice to go up there the other day.

Gives me something to look forward to this month anyway 😀

It's an interesting place. Wouldn't want to work there though, especially underground.

take your bike!
Horsell Common is right next door and has a few miles of fast singletrack and a snady area great for practicing drop-offs

cool might just do that!

Rootes - wish I had done some of those late night CF shift jobs. Actually I guess I could still. Might be a way in!

Raindog - why?

I presume you mean why wouldn't I want to work there ? - because I'm claustrophobic, and most of the factory is below ground (part of the planning permission was a requirement that the building could not be seen from the road). It was bad enough going down in the lift, never mind spending 40 or so hours a week down there....

Wouldnt bother me tbh. I am used to tucking myself away in a lab and I bet the labs would be worth it! My last lab was nice though. Top floor of here with nice views across Bristol:

Al - why did he resign?
