He then leads 50 of the comic's most famous characters in a sing-along version of Hey Jude.

No **** Sherlock! I wonder how they'll interpret his woeful singing in print

"Hey Chooooood, don mek it shaaaaaaaad"

Cretin. George and John must be turning in their graves.

A real shame about the Dandy finishing.

Can I just say that I had to go into a well-known department store at lunchtime to buy something, but was rapidly driven out by them playing McCartney's syrupy saccharine rubbish. I had forgotten just quite how tragic his "music" is. And he is getting royalties too for it.

Do I win £5?

Paul McCartney: "I couldn't have put it better myself, John."

John Lennon: "Yeah, I know."
