What do they do with the phones you sell to them?

They can't sell on, well not at a profit anyway? Can they?

I'm thinking they recycle the parts...

yes... but not in the UK - theres a big market for them in Africa

I'm thinking they recycle the parts...

that too - theres gold in there and all sorts of other rare and valuable stuff. The kind of stuff people wage wars over in Africa.

Just make sure you remove the sim card - I received a £900 phone bill for roaming charges in Nigeria on my sons old number, I can only put this down to him having cashed in one of his phones & not doing so - quite how Virgin managed to allow a sim card to work on a contract I had cancelled a year earlier is another story but suffice to say I didn't have to pay 🙂

have you seen how little they pay for phones, I'm quite sure they can sell them (at least anything semi-recent) at a profit here! Same with webuyanycar.com and similar. Other half priced her last phone up on mazuma and others and was offered a fraction of what they go for on ebay etc.

HTC Desire; £21 from Mazuma, 2 sold today on ebay UK for £46 and £47.

Desire S; £38 from Mazuma, last few sold for £70-80 on ebay...
