How many folk are booking these 4 days off work to get 10 days holiday? I'm tempted but will the entire population be doing the same making tourist spots far too busy?

I figure loads of people will, so I’m looking forward to being paid for doing sod all (catching up actually) that week 😁

Yup, Down in the Lakes 1st-5th celebrating my wife's best mate's 50th birthday. Well, they'll be celebrating it. I'll be out on my bike each day hitting the trails and the pubs.

🙂

Ah that's a good point about it being term-time, I hadn't considered that constraint for many people. I think I'll book them off and head for some quieter spots.

Bastards. You'll all be coming down my garden centre and getting me to load sacks of fertiliser into your cars...

Yep, but it's only 3 days off for me, it's my birthday that week and we get that off I addition to our standard holidays.

Unfortunately I'm scheduled to but and rebuild our utility room so won't be out too much.

I’m sorry to inform you, but it’s the start of the cricket season, so will be a complete washout!

I need a bag of compost, but even at nearly 69, I’ll load me own, thanks.

Oh, and I’m retired now, so it’s just one, long holiday for me now! 🤘🏼😎

@CountZero I'm a year older than you then and get to throw bags around all day. It's like being paid to go to the gym. Just substitute managers for personal trainers...
I do love working outdoors though.

Just found out I just get BH days added to my leave and can take the days whenever I want. So I’m working and I’ll take them later in the year.
