We need a new one for the spare bedroom, nothing fancy. Is the ikea memory foam one still the one to go for? It’s about the right price budget wise. And is it supplied rolled up so I can get it in my car?

The IKEA ones are rolled up.

Having spent a fortune on a mattress that was crap, I've now got an sprung IKEA one that's fantastic. And it came flat packed.

We’ve replaced some expensive memory foams with IKEA pocket sprung mattresses. Loads better for us.

Foam is horrible. Pocket sprung in the firmest option is what I would pick.

We've just bought the lads ikea mattresses - not r memory foam ones. They are comfy.

We've also just bought ourselves wool Hypnos mattress. It is so much better to sleep on than our old memory foam topped mattress. Both are similar quality and both properly sprung - but I don't wake up feeling all sweaty/really hot...

A month or two ago we bought a new IKEA mattress; a pocket sprung Hyllestad but have found it, at times, just as you've described - hot and sweaty. Fine at the moment now its winter but we are wondering what it'll be like when it warms up; I'm going to bookmark Hypnos...

The wool Hypnos we bought is basically the Premier Inn mattress, slightly softer and better built. Local shop had a good sale on in Juliy, it took until November to be delivered.

I'm saving for wool duvets now...

For my spare room, I just went in Dreams and asked for a cheap memory foam mattress. That was about 8 years ago, everyone who's slept on it (including me) has loved it. It's certainly better than one of those soggy Emma jobs.

we have been contemplating replacing our hated Emma job with something better, but what?
3 days ago we were offered a spannish wool matress by aging relatives, the matress is 6 years old and getting too firm for their old bones. After 2 nights on it, wow it is soooo nice, firm but comfy and no saggy middle. Nice Christmas prezzie!

Our new mattress (delivered yesterday) is from the 'wool room'.
Seems so much better than the memory foam thing which sagged and was too hot.

Already had the wool pillows and have been enjoying a wool duvet for a few weeks now.
All recyclable which is a must for us in this day and age.
