Talk to me. Missus wants an uber comfy, firm topper type thing. Not memory foam or "bamboo" so I guess that leaves wool based or down based? I'd like a thick wool / sheepskin one but I assume there are caveats to owning them?

We have a Soak and Sleep Luxury Microfibre topper, which is ace. I have allergies so any kind of animal based one was out. Definitely not firm though, it's like sleeping on a big fluffy cloud!

The only downside I've noticed so far is that it makes other beds much less comfy in comparison, though with the warmer weather coming I suspect it might make things a bit more sweaty than previously.

We bought a Devon Duvets mattress topper, but didn't find it added much comfort. I did help with my breathing at night though, I was definatley less "bunged up".

Hijack: Summer coming. Any recommendations for covers to cool down memory foam mattresses? Coolmax, bamboo?

You sure?

I've not seen anything to suggest we're having one this year....
