I'm so glad this current government have been so amazing during covid and brexit that they can expect no condemnation whatsoever for shagging anything with a pulse and within reach.

I mean, if they'd been utterly shit and caused 50-60 thousand unnecessary extra deaths, they'd be daft to expect to get away with trousers around ankles shenanigans.

Hey There,

Am I the only one that sees the irony in the opposition asking Boris lack of morality Johnson to sack him. Yes the same person who has cheated on wives in the past and slept with many an advisor, apparently...

A bold assumption.

I wouldnt have thought so, but that aside, the fact remains that a screen grab was taken and passed to the papers.

The In-Laws were round for a BBQ last weekend, lovely people, but something came up regarding Boris, and my comment of “Who could of imagined, an incompetent, lier, would turn out to be incompetent and lie” was met with a “well imagine how bad it could of been”. I can’t see this making a bit of difference to their vote.
Also have a house is Spain and used to spend 1/3rd of the year there, now moan about the Brexit they voted for.

The Labour and LibDem opposition parties had no choice but to demand that Johnson sack Hancock, remaining silent on the issue wasn't an option for them.

Johnson's determination not to sack Hancock can only damage the Tories. But it does of course stop a spotlight being focused on Johnson's personal life, which would be the inevitable consequence of Johnson hypocritically sacking Hancock.

Ultimately Johnson cares only about himself, the interests of the Tory Party undoubtedly lag a long way behind.

Strangely the LibDem leader doesn't appear to support sacking Hancock for his behaviour regarding his aid, he apparently thinks he should be sacked for the other stuff that Hancock has screwed.

hmmm question is what do the 'people' think and is this worse than Cummings Barnard Castle exploit.

People have been not having sex due to covid, but apparently its fine if you're the health secretary but not the scientist whose advice to the prime minister led to the UK lockdown.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said it was "extraordinary" and that he "took the right decision to resign".
He told Sky News that it was "just not possible" for Prof Ferguson to continue advising the government.
Mr Hancock said the social distancing rules "are there for everyone" and are "deadly serious".

More of the 'one rule for us', 'one rule for them'.

The Sun has more than a screen grab, according to the paper Hancock checks the corridor first before leaning on the door to stop any unexpected intrusion.

The Sun makes some very serious allegations concerning Hancock having an affair, it's presumably not based solely on grainy photos, otherwise they are risking making an extremely expensive mistake.

Edit: The point I'm making is that the Sun must have a lot more proof than that CCTV footage. The footage itself doesn't conclusively prove that it's Hancock and the woman's face isn't even visible, both or each could have sued the arse off the Sun for making such serious false allegations.

I graft in an unglamorous northern ex mill town for a living. Part of my wage goes to pay for ****s like Handcock and Boris, I don't give a shit if married Dave from the shop floor is roaring up Clare from the office but when people in the highest offices in the country and who I'm effectively paying to do a job of keeping us and our care home safe then I demand the highest morals and attention to the job in hand.

As it is I'm building a guillotine for these ****s in parliament.

Timing is everything.

Even Hancock would have had to go if he'd been busted at the same time as Ferguson.

Now we've all got Covid fatigue to a greater or lesser extent.

Not excusing the ****, just the way things work.

Vaccine delivery is the only thing that the minister in charge has managed to not screw up completely, possibly by leaving the grown-ups to get on with it. That makes Zahawi like some kind of god in Westminster terms.

The eyeroll thing is that they'll probably stick Liz Truss in as Minister for Vaccines.

I'm positively wanting some gammony tosser to have a pop at me riding cheeky tomorrow morning.

"You're not allowed to ride bikes here".

"If Matt Hancock can do what he likes and get away with it, so can I. So **** off".

These complacent gammony bellends need to be shown what eroding respect for rules, laws and office leads to.

I'm going to be Taking Back Control.

But then I thought that about old Cumstains just over a year ago too...

I'm truly amazed at the brass neck of them.

Last year, when Prof Neil Ferguson, the epidemiologist who has helped shape the government’s response to coronavirus, quit his advisory role for breaking social distancing rules by having a woman visit him at his home, Hancock said he would support the idea of police taking action against him

Whoever is breaking this stuff is a genius. They've got Fatboy saying he accepts the apology and the matter is closed. So they break the bit about her brother. Now if they can force Fatboy to backtrack on this, it is implicit that he is condemning the cronyism "I'll let you nob my sister if I make a million". If he does that, it is open season on nearly all of this shower of bastards.

Ordure, ordure - as there is now no incentive for anyone with Hancock information to keep it quiet so...it's open season!
Asking for his/his family's privacy to be respected; no chance.
He knows how this works - as a public servant you can't moralise without expecting some payback when your own behaviour/morals, in any regard, fall short of the standards you expect of others.
What a gift for investigative journalists - go to it!

Frankly I didn’t think that Hancock would do something like this. Granted, he’s a bit weird, but cheating on his wife who he has had three children with?

TBH this government of scumbags liars and traitors seems to have been a masterclass for Hancock, it's amazing how quickly he's adapted to it and become almost creepy as gove, as proudly clueless as Raab, as maliciously dishonest as Patel... So obviously this is what he's learned from the boss.

If you have no scruples then this really is no problem.

Daft sods out in the shires still think Johnson actually believes in Brexit.

On R4 PM just now...Harry Cole, political editor of The Sun, making clear that hancock will have a very difficult weekend; that, to me, is a clear message - we have more and will publish.
He also said that their source was a '...concerned Westminster whistle-blower'; cue investigation to trace said whistle blower (Dom) while no investigation into hancock's failure to comply with ministerial code, him appointing a mate, him exercising undue influence and so much more.
About an hour before his mini mea culpa this afternoon when he apologised for breaking regulations, truss said he had not breached any of the regulations/guidelines.
They really are a shower of shit.

That Daily Mash article has a para worth repeating:

Practise self-love

Pamper yourself rotten. Take the rest of the day off, get a big takeaway in, then kick back with your favourite film and a nice cool six pack. You’ve earned it. Only have a **** if you’re confident the memory of the (Hancock) photo won’t drift into your mind and ruin the whole thing.

LOL!

From a hancock parody twitter account...

On Thursday evening after a successful day of saving lives and protecting the NHS, I walked in to my office to see Gina choking on a throat swab from our world beating test and trace kits. I immediately tried to dislodge it with my tongue to save her life…”

Obviously Rupert Murdoch isn't responsible for Hancock's extramarital affairs, it would however be pointless and make no business sense at all to turn down the story and let a competitor handle it.

Murdoch's first priority is to make money, lots of money. Having one of his publication handling a mega-story like this one can only help him with that goal.

A knock on effect of publishing the story is it re-enforces and reminds everyone of his power, his power to make and destroy political careers. And more power means more money for Murdoch.

Finally the Sun hates backing losers, Hancock's political future didn't seem particularly rosy even before this story broke.

I agree that the Sun's editor would have first cleared an important story like this with Murdoch. Murdoch openly admits to being very much hands on with the Sun whilst very much leaving the Times to its own devices. I have no doubt that's true.

Wasn't it in a room that is used in televised links? I suspect there is a security angle to it. Although it has been suggested that it was maybe unofficially bugged. Which presumably means that they were extremely lucky to place a bug exactly where they chose to have a snog and grope.

I'm not sure which way the Hancock affair will push things..

Rupert Murdoch has asked the government to abolish the legal restraints on him interfering in the editorial independence of the Times and the Sunday Times that were put in place when he first bought the newspapers.

Same again tonight so I wonder what further revelations they have for Saturday.
Here's the link to tomorrow's papers today - everything from the Star through to the FT but no Sun and no love for little matty.

This is bad for Bojo. He needs to sack Hancock but if he does then he needs to sack himself 5 times over.

Also sacking means Hancock loses his job as Health Secretary, I wish it meant losing his job as an MP.

This is simply Murdoch, through the Sun, showing that he has power.

Handcock is a universally hated politician, so embarrasing him in this way will do nothing to harm the government.

It'll be written and talked about all weekend, every paper will say he has to go. And Murdoch's rags will trumpet on about how even the left wing papers agree with them.

Even if Johnson says that Hancock had his support, he will have to go as that's what Murdoch wants, not to get Hancock, or damage the Government, but to show off his firepower.

Yep they’re grown ups.

Hmmm what was it £850 for breaking the covid rules with an increase for persistent offences.

It’s not entertaining it blatantly shows ‘again’ how it’s one rule for us one rule for them.

How many times will you hear the ‘matter is now closed’ from the PM 🙂
