I mean look at him? He’s a pathetic human.

Look at him? How shallow.

I am sure that the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is an amazing person with an amazing personality.

@PrinceJohn

2 pages in & no one is curious about Matt’s ability to attract women?

I mean look at him? He’s a pathetic human.

Dammit man, he works for Johnson! An overweight, dishonest, lying, cheating sack of lard in a badly fitting suit, that seems to find it impossible to stay away from women (if his child and affair count is to be believed).

If you have money or power, some members of the opposite sex will find that more attractive than the vessel that money or power resides in.

As for Matty, this may not impact his clearance, but it may cause questions next time he has to renew. It _will_ have left him open to 5e possibility of manipulation and people have been removed from post because of it.

It's hard not to see this as planned strategy.
Hancock caught on mysteriously leaked CCTV at the same time there's a big story about billions of missing tests in the ongoing Track & Trace Dido scandal?

After the Ferguson statements, the door has been kicked open to force Hancock to grovel an apology, resign and take with him a lot of the unanswered questions and heat for the Covid scandal.
All a little convenient for the government.

So leaving his personal and professional judgment and conduct aside, we’re totally fine that the Health Secretary has been conducting an affair with a director, shareholder and lobbyist for Luther Pendragon, a ‘communications’ agency that includes amongst its clients one that was recently awarded £2.5 million of public money for helping build the NHS Covid app? That’s not in the slightest bit iffy?

I'd assume that if someone was working full time in Westminster, practically everyone they met during the working day would be pushing some sort of agenda, be it party political, commercial, lobby or otherwise. So it might be iffy to you, but it isn't to me.

I'm glad that mogrim has cleared up the issue of his dog whistle racist language, I thought initially he had used it in error.

The idea that Labour politics now comes to losing election after election through their own collapse into wokeism, antisemitism and self destruction but then try to destroy the business of government by endless personal attacks and attempts to manufacture scandal where there is no reason for it in a sex-positive society is nasty. Kinder, gentler politics, eh?

It’s hard not to see this as planned strategy.

The received wisdom is that No 10 wanted to keep him around to take the fall for Covid cock-ups around PPE, care homes etc.

Resignation over this would muddy the water as to the reasons for his departure and deprive Johnson of his human shield.

I reckon he'll try to tough it out anyway. He appears to have no shame.

Not sure he can resign/be sacked given Boris's track record, but he is already firmly established as the whipping boy for the pandemic failures so he is expendable now.

I wonder if they're just so blinkered and self-motivated that they think if Hancock goes that we'll all just shrug our shoulders and just go 'fair enough, must have been his fault'

If they do it at the right time (ie. not this year while we and they are still dealing with it) I think they're right.

Also, he has the small matter of trying to do his job.

I'd not seen the news reports that he was about to start doing that but I guess if this ends the affair he might now have the time.

I feel for him. I mean at least 80% of the female population are unsuitable for him to have an affair with, being taller than him.

And there is no way such a jumped up little twerp would countenance having an affair with a taller woman.

As for his ability to attract women it must be his natural charm and the calm exterior that being ace at his job must confer.

😂

Pic from cctv. so someone has gone to the trouble of taking a screen grab and releasing it to the papers.
So who has access to these tapes ?, only security, which means the security company are engaging in leaking information to the press.
That must be against any standard code of ethics, and more importantly against government rules.

As to the subject matter making a full Sun front page, seems a bit extreme given the behaviour of the Prime minister in such regards.

pushing some sort of agenda, be it party political, commercial, lobby or otherwise

There's a huge difference between a senior elected politician pushing a political agenda and pushing a commercial agenda, or being under the influence of a commercial agenda.

The CCTV footage is over 6 weeks old, it is not known at what stage Hancock became aware of its existence but it is fair to say that it could have been used to manipulate and blackmail.

Unless of course you think that a married high profile individual with 3 young children doesn't care about public revelations of their personal indiscretions?

Later on, when my wife gets home from another day PPE'd up to the eyeballs in a fetid, crumbling hospital, I will ask her what her thoughts are on her ultimate 'Big Boss' groping an employee's arse, tongue down throat, during working hours.

I'm sure she'll think he's a great guy and be thrilled for him.

That must be against any standard code of ethics, and more importantly against government rules.

You would think that those issues also cover behaviour during working hours in the HQ of the Department of Health and Social Care.

It suggests a level of arrogance that they couldn't drive somewhere to engage in whatever it was they fancied doing. You know like a quiet country lane or hotel room.

A fair point. Perhaps Matt Hancock couldn't give a monkeys if the whole world knows what he's been getting up to with a woman called Gina.

Personally I think he probably does. And probably enough for him to do things which he otherwise wouldn't do just to stop it being in the public domain.

I'll tell you what Ernie, I don't know how much of your posting is serious or lighthearted in this thread, but you've changed my mind on this.

Other people's points about him hanging Ferguson out to dry with the police for breaking covid restrictions might also come into play once we know the timings of all this stuff.

I'll also ask my wife if she can remember what she happened to be dealing with at approx 3pm on 6th May.

Might it have been x-raying a patient with mental issues with no security staff 'back-up'?

Might it have been using (very) high voltage scanning kit whilst having to have one eye on the weather as the roof leaks during heavy rain?

Might it have been doing admin work she isn't supposed to because their experienced Admin Assistant had retired and they couldn't get anyone with a higher IQ than the average rabbit dropping to replace her?

Might it have been telling Serco that charging £180 to put up a coat peg is ****ing out of order?

Whatever it was, I'm sure knowing that Little Matty was groping and snogging an employee at the same time will help to alleviate the daily stress.

Anyway. The little turd will just brazen it out and get the tin tack (as he was always being set up for) when the Covid enquiry is done.

Until then he'll just carry on be an ineffectual, aggressive and corrupt little tosser.

The clip above with the Geordie accent voice-over should include Handjob exclaiming:

I didn't use "dog whistle racist language", in the photo she's clearly white, and all I said was that a clearly European name sounded exotic. So kindly **** off with the racist accusations. It wasn't, and I'm not.

Having an affair - who cares
Having an affair with someone you have appointed as a non-exec director of DHSC (presumably to provide independent oversight) - sounds a bit dodgy
If it creates the impression of vulnerability to manipulation (either through blackmail, or declaration of interests) it is messy.

Getting amorous in the office - definitely not going to be acceptable in any modern workplace. Being in a relationship is not necessarily a problem but getting frisky in HQ is likely to be frowned upon almost anywhere.

However I'm sure the killer for ministers is when they try to deny it, and then have lied about it. By just admitting it - he'll probably survive. I suspect she'll have to leave her role at DHSC.

Oh, and for what it's worth the only "Gina" I knew was short for "Georgina" and I'd struggle to think of anyone who is more home counties, and the antithesis of exotic. I had to check the photo in case this was a married name, as I could completely imagine her both having found her way into lobbying and snogging the face off Hancock.

How utterly bereft of self awareness and personal honour does Hancock need to be to carry on.

His future is already mapped out as the government fall guy when the Covid enquiry happens. Before this broke his days were already numbered.

So he could either escape with a tiny shred of dignity intact or carry on throughing with the rest of the pigs until the axe finally falls

What I learnt from all this is that his wife is an osteopath. He's in charge of the NHS and his wife is an osteopath. It's like learning that Jeff Bezos wears 'Shop Local' T-shirts or Elon Musk thinks cars are stupid.

This puts an entirely new spin on his incompetence. Presumably this news release means someone more evil wants him gone, though, so I'm not exactly pleased.

Yeah, but don't they need him to be the fall guy for the gargantuan **** up? Who was meant to be the fall guy for the merely huge **** up?

If you're going to be elected through lies and then be utterly shit in government you must at least keep a list of who is appropriate to go under the bus at each point, no?

But then I just realised....

Dom compiled the list and is the only person with a copy. Boris was too pissed to remember to ask him for a copy before he gave him the boot.

I reckon we'd actually do better with no government at all.

Simon Clarke, Conservative MP and business minister at the time, got caught with a colleague and resigned last year (he was my MP). Reported in Sun and then all covered up, presumably injunctions were sought.

Same as this eejit he was saying how it's all a private matter etc etc. It's not - they were both at it with colleagues in situations where there's a clearly imbalance of power and potential for it to affect non personal matters.

In reputable large businesses, particularly American ones, this is a sacking offence x100. There's the abuse aspect due to the disparity in roles, but also reeks of quid pro quo due to the conflicts of interest. Seen it happen at a previously employer where a senior board member left the building without his feet touching the floor for a similar type of thing. The whole McDonalds CEO thing is another example.

Cummings?

First the public enquiry to wet the appetite. Forcing Boris to standby Hancock.

Then the drip, drip on his blog culminating in the "f***ing hopeless" tweets.

Then a couple of weeks later. This story breaks.

If you were designing a release of information to do maximum damage, I am guessing it would look something like this. My question is "what next?". Or has Cummings shot his load now.

The sad thing is he has a wife and three small kids, so the fallout isn’t going to be pretty for many people.

This for me too. Not to mention personal distraction from doing his job.

Management/declaration of relationships is now standard in the workplace, not least to protect both employees from accusations of bias.

Do you think these lobbying companies have meetings where the women start to shift nervously when the big cheeses start to say stuff like:

"I hear he likes brunettes, but not taller than him and he is only 5'3"".

Then all eyes fall on the only sub 5'3" brunette in the room and she is assured a six figure sum minimum.

It's all a bit icky, isn't it...

He can’t even do a Tory sex scandal well. ****ing hopeless!

The bloke couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery.

Everything he touches is a half arsed, cock up of the highest order.

Boris won’t sack him for the affair, but for missing out the invitations for midget strippers, a shipment of pigs heads and a shit ton of Bolivian marching powder. (Although that incompetent idiot would leave his mask on for that bit)

Sweet Jesus....

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/matt-hancock-apologises-covid-kissing-113133805.html

From that link:

In May last year, after the Daily Telegraph reported Prof Neil Ferguson broke lockdown rules to allow his “married lover” into his London home “on at least two occasions”, Hancock had said he was left speechless by the rule breach.

Prof Ferguson, whose coronavirus modelling convinced Johnson to impose the first national lockdown, subsequently quit his government advisory role, with Hancock saying it was “just not possible” for him to continue.

“I think that he took the right decision to resign," he added.
