You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I vaguely remember the thread from 3 years ago https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/matched-betting-the-reality/ but never did anything at the time, but a couple of months ago I started with one bookie to see how it went and it is as easy as described (£200 profit so far for about 3 hours work). I've been holding off registering with other bookies until the World Cup as I imagine their will be some cracking offers coming up to draw new customers in.
Anyone else on here into matched betting?
I was but I've pretty much used all the bookies now and the offers were getting too confusing, betting through 5 times etc before being allowed to withdraw, too little profit per offer, just wasn't worth me putting any more time into it. But yes, if you're a new starter it's worth the effort.
I used to do it a few years back, I made a good few grand from it, but the offers started to not be as good, it was always the Cheltenham week were the mainstream bookies offers were brilliant, the football events offers were never that brilliant.
I still do this although its not as easy to make as much money now, the bookies caught on to it and suddenly the decent free bets dried up.
Have made about £1500 this year, mainly through the bet365 place a £50 pre match bet for £50 free in play one, usually make about £35 guaranteed each time.
You just have to make sure you place lots of non offer related bets aswell to keep in their good books or you get banned. This is quite easy with oddsmatching software so you place a bet with bet365 / lay it with smarkets or betfair and you come out either no worse off or a couple of quid up and just look like a normal punter to the bookie.
The wife does all the free spin offers with the casinos and regularly makes £50 from 5 or 10 free spins at various places. Ive no idea how she does it, the computer must know because everytime i touch the keyboard i win hee haw. This for zero spending, usually new games trying to draw new people in.
So, yeah, its worth doing but the big money isnt as easy to get as before.
Yep, the Bet365 offers have been excellent but I only get the £25 offer and not the £50. Still, FA Cup Final, Champions League, Oaks and Derby free bets have been generous.
As you say I just need to place a few more normal bets so I don't get gubbed by the bookies. Signed up with oddsmonkey which makes things really quick for picking the right bets.
