Yes

As evidenced above, some are good. Take two songs and make a third one that stands out in its own right. Some are trash. Ruin both songs by making a car crash of a tune (that awful Run DMC and GnR one as a great example). Bad mash ups are like listening to your drunken mate try to DJ for the first time.

Yep, agree that soul wax were the kings of mashup. They were able to make a destinys child song sound half decent......

The vast majority are cack, but there are a few gems about.

Quite liked the sexual high one and the prodigy vs white stripes is great.

That Wu-Tang one isn't a mash-up. It's just a clever video. One of their better tracks tho'

One of the first ones that kickstarted the mashup trend was Christina Aguilera v The Strokes, still one of the best.

However the real genius was still to come with Biggie v Thomas the Tank
