I can't say I always agreed with her but there's seldom been a more honest politician. It's a shame she will see neither of her most heart-felt causes come to fruition.

She was as straight as a die one of the best .I had hoped she would live to see the referendum result she wanted. Thoughts are with her family.
It is very sad, though even though she'll not see the independence or right-to-die campaigns to fruition she certainly didn't leave anything undone. I hope she'll have the legacy she deserves.
Truly a lady that can look back on her life and see that she did indeed make a difference. I hope our wee country can produce more of her likes.

She was guest speaker at the higher modern studies conference a few years back,she was the last to leave and spoke to every pupil there. A politician out of the same mould as John Smith,as high an accolade as I can give.
