Saw that Google Maps has satellite imagery of the world now incudes quite a bit of graphic representation of the ocean and sea beds.
I'd really like something like this on my wall, for the globe. I've searched and searched but the best I can find are traditional maps, originating from the 1970s. I'd like something more 'realistic' (higher definition) and up to date
Any suggestions on where to look?

I have a large political world map from there on one of my walls. Its wallpaper pasted to the wall and varnished. Needs really good wall prep and a coat of white paint under it

When did you put that up and isn't it wildly out of date by now?
Political maps show country borders. Physical maps show mountains and rivers etc. No land borders have been changed in the decade since I put it up
Give it a few weeks then sadly take the tipex to Gaza 🙁
Cheers, future mapping do an interesting geological one, but nothing thst close from those two sites unfortunately.
I really like the old OS map on the wall of Lanterne Rouge in Gifford. That was wallpaper.
Am i right in thinking you want the map to show the seabed? i.e. a bathymetric map of world?
Have a look here: https://www.gebco.net/data_and_products/printable_maps/
Printable large format bathymetric maps - you could get an online service to print it for you. Alternatively you download the data set and get chatgpt to write you some python to plot the bit you're intersted in.
Also - super detailed view for Europe: https://emodnet.ec.europa.eu/geoviewer/
Interesting that you can see the bigger rivers flowing out for miles under the sea.
