Looking at OS map plus Bing satellite.
What is the danger area south of the A711 between Dundrennan and Kirkcudbright?
Lots of concrete roads visible from satellite...
Thanks.
Its a military training area IIRC
(actually named as such on google maps of the same area)
Yeah, Dundrennan range. Weapons testing etc
It's also infested with zombies. And Nazi Zombies at that - arguably the worst kind
I was taken on a guided walk for locals around the coast there many, many years ago. They were very strict about not stepping off the route that they led us on...
Yep townhead ranges. Great fun when your young and not too concerned about your limbs.
Lots of bursts of three even now.
Pretty sure they tested a rail gun there. Also the reason that the solway firth to the SW has danger areas too.
It's one of the most depressing ranges in the country, it's where we do a lot of firings for armoured vehicles, like Ajax, CR3 and so on occur, best avoided, either if you're paid to go or not!
