I'm going to be taking my nephew out for lunch for his 18th birthday. I asked him where he'd like to go or the kind of the he'd want, and he's seen this place in Chorlton
https://brewskirestaurants.com/ which does this kind of food - big dirty burger type stuff
The thing is, I'm coming from Disley and he's coming from Sandbach, so Chorlton is a bit of a ballache to get to on public transport for both of us. Stockport or Manchester are much easier, so can anyone recommend anywhere that does that kind of stuff in either Stockport or Manchester?

TBH, there's plenty of these type of joints in Manc these days.
Phwoar.

Yeah, that's what I figured, so looking for some recommendations.
Loads of places, but they (the burgers) look disgusting
Also, if you think he'd like Lane 7 then within Great Northern then there's

But Solita is no more?
Almost Famous would have been my suggestion too, I think it's better than Fat Hippo, others may disagree.
This isn't usually my choice of dining out, but the burger I had at Almost Famous was exceptional.
Would recommend, and do take an extra stomach if you can.
Another recommendation for Almost Famous here. It's also got that cool Northern Quarter vibe to it that young people find on fleek.
Almost Famous is amazing, either in NQ on Edge Street or Great Northern off Deansgate. Also on Edge street is Yard and Coop, similar big dirty portions but chicken not beef, and Liquor and Burn- again similar big dirty potions but burritos and tacos. All good stuff.

Sounds mega, possibly even totally wicked.
Almost Famous burgers are top notch taste-wise but not big enough. I could easily eat 2. Solita going is a shame as they were massive and tasty. Heard about Burgerism - is that the fast food type place on an industrial estate? Is Reds still in Manc?
Fat Hippo is worth checking out. I used to go to Newcastle for work and would always go there.
I can definitely recommend -

But i also really did like almost famous..
Brewski's is opposite the tram stop in Chorlton, which is next to a Morrison CP that your nephew can use if he's driving?

He doesn't drive, so Chorlton means a train and a tram for him, and a train and a tram or a train and a bus for me, which, frankly, I can't be arsed with...
Sounds mega, possibly even totally wicked.
Neither of which are on fleek unfortunately. 😉
Never been disappointed by almost famous. I'd agree they arent massive, but very good.
I’m now questioning your commitment to putting yourself in a burger-induced food coma.
It’s a shame about Solita. It was top notch
Behold the Big Manc…
