Up in Manchester next weekend. Usually eat in one of the chop houses but fancy something different this time. Where's good to get Chinese food? Ideally easily walkable from Picadilly or Deansgate.
Cheers.
Little Yang Sing (edge of China Town) - George Stret
One of the best, and not too expensive. If you want cheap, eat all you can, then Cosmo on Deansgate is OK. Teppanyaki in China Town is good for Japanese. Loads of other places to Eat in China Town
People on nerdy food boards used to bang on about a particular Sichuan place a few years ago. Googling it, it might have been Red Chilli? I’d take a locals advice over mine though!
Phetpailin Thai above the booby bar in China town hasn't let me down. Certainly not the s****yest of places but food has always been good for me.
Red Chilli in Chinatown is where Rob Owen Brown told us to go. It's very good. Proper chinese.
I like Mei Dim in Chinatown, but it's a bit hardcore for some people who haven't been to China.
I really like Wasabi in Chinatown too for sushi. Yuzu is great too (probably better).
Also worth a mention though not Chinese, or Japanese is the brilliant Bundobust which is vegan and vegetarian South Indian with some of the best craft beer in Manchester. At the corner of Picadilly Gardens.
I’m in good company if Rob Owen Brown agrees - love that man!
I do like a night at Reds true bbq.
Another vote for Little Yang Sing
I was there a few weeks ago and it really was excellent
Another vote for Red Chilli, good food, lack of portion control, and fast service.
