Flying from Manchester later this year as it's massively cheaper than flying from Glasgow during Scottish school / college holidays. Normally use the T2 West multi-storey but that's no longer available for longer stays. Have also previously used Jetparks with mixed results. Have booked the official Meet & Greet parking at T2, which, with Blue Light Card discount, is cheaper than Jetparks.

My question is, how do you access the M&G area? The official Airport website suggests access via Palma Avenue into T2 East and up the spirals to level D. Google Maps highlights the same access point via the entrance on Palma Avenue and street view images taken in 2017, 2018 & 2024, are contradictory.

However, the same official website lists the M&G address and postcode for satnav as Atlanta Avenue. Looking at customer reviews and some external website advise, there appears to be a ramp up Atlanta Avenue that serves the drop off area but might now also feed into a 3 lane wide access shed into the M&G area on the top floor of the T2 East car park.

I can't confirm remotely which setup is obsolete and which one is current. Does the Atlanta ramp have a new spur over to a new M&G area on the top floor of T2 East? Anyone been recently? Ta.

I'm sure the meet and greet is ok. But there is no chance I'd use it even if it was cheaper than the jet parks equivalent and a short bus ride to the terminal. There are always a few horror stories in the Manchester evening news every year about damaged cars from meet and greet companies. Probably 0.001% chance of something bad happening tho and I'm hopeful your experience will be seamless.

That’s because your car will be used for Pizza deliveries whilst your away.

Parking options appear to be very limited for T2 these days. We have booked the park and ride for our summer holiday

Yeah, the park and ride means I'd keep my keys but also means we'd be waiting for a transfer bus at both ends of the holiday. Had problems with that when using Jetparks before. Late buses, full buses not stopping, registration number not recognised by ANPR, no staff at intercom, car park full and diverted elsewhere, meaning pay upfront again and very slow refund.

Seems like the options are that you are at the mercy of a third party company who may take an age to collect you from / drop you off at a remote car park OR, you trust someone with your car keys. Neither is ideal.

Most of the parking damage, drug running, stealing car parts horror stories do seem to be with off site agents. We've booked through MAG itself so hope the car is simply moved (as claimed) to an 'on-site' secure parking facility then brought back unsullied for our return. I'll sure as shit be videoing the car externally and photographing the interior, mileage and range before I hand the keys to anyone. Still plenty of time to cancel and seek another option if something more reassuring / secure actually exists?

Whatever happened to drive into car park, lock car, walk to terminal and fly off?

Is it even available for shorter stays?

I was there recently to pick someone up, they couldn't find me so I wanted to park and go hunt them down. Impossible! It's all "pick up only, don't leave your car". Follow the signs for proper parking and they just lead you around in circles for ever 😖 Kept thinking I'd missed the correct turning but nope, round and round and round aargh. Massive multi-storey and no way to get above the ground floor, unless I'm blind.

No notices that parking is unavailable. Just "this way for parking, now this way, lol you're at the beginning again, this way for parking, honest"
