Half term away.

Years ago we left the car at what appeared to be an old nursery/greenhouse with a shuttle bus car parking firm but I can’t seem to find them anymore.

Lots of options coming up but I’m assuming any with Parkmark should be ok.

Official Meet and Greet. Never had a problem with them.

Greenhouse one is toad parking we used many times but use meet and greet now which is slightly more expensive.

Official airport M+G has been flawless for me but a couple of months ahead and Multi-Storey is usually a similar price. Take your pick. I wouldn't go off-airport to save a tenner and have the hassle of buses. Pro-tip - if you go multi-story and need a luggage trolley park up at the top floor. Less people park up there so there are usually abandoned trollies around for free. You'll be using the lifts anyway so if doesn't matter if you're one floor or six floors above departures.

I usef Jetparks Ringway when we went to Portugal this year.

Was fine except that when I returned, the car looked like it had been completely coated in icing sugar because of all the dust.

Meet and Greet. Happy to pay a bit extra to (pretty much) walk out of the front door of the airport and get in the car, rather than fanny about with buses.

Manchester Airport is currently a building site, the road network around there is horrendous. That said, the new Manchester Airport Relief Road opens this coming weekend - however once you're there you're still in a nightmare of cones and half-completed junctions!

Offsite parking is often MILES away. The buses are OK but last time I flew from there it was a load of extra time we didn't have and stress we didn't need - the bus driver was properly arsey about bike bags too in spite of the fact there was NO-ONE else on the bus! On-site is better, just go through the official links on the airport site. Numerous reports over the years of really dodgy unofficial "valet parking" firms who have set up and just chuck the car in a field somewhere. I'd rather park it myself on site, know where it is and that no-one else can use it and go on holiday safe in the knowledge that the car isn't being driven by some crook and parked in a field.

Another vote here for the multi-storey. You can save a tenner buy parking further away and getting bus, but time and convenience win for me

Airport meet and greet without a doubt. If you're going to mess about with some sort of park and ride, you might as well look at getting the train or a taxi instead

Jetparks Ringway user here too.
I tried booking through a "perks" wsebsite we have access to through work. With their 10% discount applied it was 30% more (!) expensive than just booking direct through the Manchester Airport website.
Buses were fine and pretty prompt. Just remember to note down whereabouts you parked in the place otherwise you could spend a long time walking around looking for your car!

Jetparks 3 was a pain in the ass a few weeks ago.

The roadworks meant it took a while to get to the site - then there were no signs saying which zone spaces could be found - 20 mins later I eventually parked only to see the bus sail off into the distance!

Bus also took ages through the roadworks - allow plenty of time

Sound like people favour the park and ride overall - I can see why!

last 2 Trips to Manchester were Tram and Train 🙂 Easy and stress free, just be prepared to pay for a trolley at the station if they are getting more efficient at collecting them back to the racks.

Jetparks 1 or 2. 3 is a bit (ok a lot) further out if you want to save £10. Never had a problem with the buses.

Have also used the Mid Stay car park again no problems if you can walk and are flying from T1/T3 but a bit of a trek from T2

Prefer multi storey myself. It's all connected by that space walk job anyway, so recently parked in ms for T2 and walked to T1.

Official short stay - not much more than park in a field, you get to keep your car keys (so no one borrows your car to run drugs around) and you walk straight in to the terminal

I was quite surprised to find it was cheaper to get a taxi both ways, admittedly for 11 days.

But also nice low hassle factor.

not sure how much the official M&G is but we always use one called LCS, its about £40 for a week

same sort of thing. they meet you at the terminal and drive your car off - then have it waiting for you when you land...

taxi for us is about £70 each way!
