We have a team who meet monthly, our largest team at work. The nature of things and size of the team is we have folk joining and leaving regularly.
It appears in the 'new' Outlook' I cannot add an individual to a Group and have them automatically have the monthly meets.
Yet I can add or remove an individual to each meeting manually - but the new Outlook now messages EVERY person on the Outlook Meeting..
(As a detail the day and timing changes of the meeting to flex with our work..)
Can Teams/Outlook handle this Group vs a meeting?
I think you need to edit the meeting series and add them to that and then resend. It only sends to the new names - same as if you delete someone - do it in the Series and only those names removed will be messaged.
Channel meetings perhaps? The behavior has changed a few times over the years but these days in Teams you can schedule a meeting in a channel, don't bother adding individual attendees and flip the "invite members" switch. They'll all get a meeting invite for their calendars, and I'm pretty sure any new additions to the team after it's been created also get notified about the event too.
I've not found a way, so commenting to track! Sure you can have a dynamic group in Teams which automatically updates based on membership rules but I don't think there is a way for them to automatically get the reoccurring invites in their calendars based on their group membership which I think is what you want. You have to go into the invite and resend which sends to the group. I would love a fix here as it would save me a headache remembering to send out the invite again every time someone joins.
