Saw a bloke going up the path on a peculiar contraption.
Wheel about a foot in diameter. A foot peg either side and some sort of power unit on top of the wheel.
It had no seat or handlebars. I can't for the life of me work out how it is controlled or even how you get going on it.
He was motoring along in perfect control.
What was it?

Don't be so quick to judge - i mean check out the Features

1. Acceleration, braking response more gentle
On gentle acceleration, braking in, Airwheel X5 reduced rampage Sentimental, but increased mature and calm atmosphere.

Who amongst us wouldn't benefit from a bit of that

Those look they would be more tiring than actually walking. 9.6Kg for 29km range, hmmm not sure I like those numbers.

Like a minimalist Segway?

In fairness - they actually look fairly usable. Something for disappointing adults in London to ride instead of a micro scooter.

I was going to ask 'Why?' but then I saw the range of it! I wonder how it deals with going downhill?

Don't see what the issue is with it. Why is someone a prat because they choose to do something a bit different, its a little harsh.

I think that looks quite fun. I like the idea of personal transportation you can pick up like a briefcase and take onto the bus/train.

The videos seem to be on pristine smooth paving. I want to see one on a UK pavement full of potholes, drains, loose slabs, broken glass and dog eggs.

Seen a few in Hyde Park, couple of tourists on them shredding the gnarrrr last night as it happens.

Look ok, catches a lot of ogling looks which detracted from them looking at me, not sure I liked that I mean the whole point of riding around HP is to check out Girls and well, encourage Girls to check out my manly thighs 😀 😛
