According to the news a 20 year old Tunisian guy took a bet that involved him eating 30 raw eggs. After knocking back 28, he collapsed and died soon after at hospital. Why would this happen?
I assume anaphylaxis can be ruled out as if he had an egg allergy he wouldn't have taken the task on. unless it was an overt suicide.
Can salmonella manifest so quickly that it induced toxic shock?
Interesting yet tragic tale.
