Its our work Xmas do tonight.

However our party is in a Casino so hopefully that should reduce the number of proper rough 'uns present.

I always tend to avoid town like the plague at this time of year. Leave it to the lightweights to get all handbags with each other after their second pint. Another week and they'll thankfully be back indoors for another year.

Hopefully a fairly civilised affair tonight in a small selection of York's finest real-ale pubs.

going to tynemouth to meet my sister for a few. She's just flown in from Boston, hasn't been out in the north east for 20 years. She isn't going to believe the clip of people...

I will be venturing out to a gig at which Mr Mule is playing. Fortunately it's at a private do, so hopefully violence should be kept to a minimum....

I've been out the last two nights (well, if night starts at lunchtime ;)) so this evening will mainly involve a sofa and avoiding the madness I think.

Had a lovely meander around the nicer parts of That London on Sunday last week, got all the shopping finished off, before a frankly hideous drive home. Today, I shall nip over to the LWS to buy a couple of nice beers to sip while watching the Ospreys game tonight, then tomorrow a leisurely potter around Salisbury. Might go to the LBS to buy myself a present! 🙂

Cirque de Lumière for us, probably my first work related Christmas party that I'm not dreading.

Not sure what kind of carnage to expect (other than expensive carnage).

Our town has had serious incidents involving fighting dickheads for the last three Fridays with several hospitalised.
For that reason I'm out...

It's San Tomas here in San Sebastian tomorrow, when all the rednecks come into town from the shires and start on the rough cider at 8am. Old part of the city awash with piss and vomit by early afternoon. However this'll be my sixth San Tomas and I've never seen a fight yet!
My home town is a small northern market town and you'll see a fight in just about every pub you go into on black eye Friday.

I've been on leave since last Thursday, works do tonight, came into town (Hereford) early with girlfriend as she was coming in anyway, thought I'd pop to office for an hour, delete some emails, have a bit of a laugh, then do at half 4, but there's just me, my manager, his manager and our admin manager here, all the troops gone to get ready/bunk off til 4..........

Have nearly exhasuted all threads on first couple of pages here....

Our do is pretty small and low key (building control - imagine), but meeting up with mates later, out on their annual night out (self employed builders/trades/developers/farmers), that could get messy!

Worst of it is seeing all the county's builders in pubs, they're always unsure how to react.

Well, if it kicks off over my local tonight, it could be vastly entertaining, 'cos once away from the pub, there's no street lights, and a duck pond a few yards away. And you can't see the kerbstones in the dark... 😀

I will be braving the wilds of Godalming , maybe the excitement of the Richmond Arms ( boring locals boozer ) . Driving as tomorrow plans for a dawn raid on Tesco / Waitrose.
Then windsurfing at Ayling Highland from 8 - 10 .
Then High-Ho off to work I go for a couple of hours.
Then big Christmas clean up as mum is coming to stay and driving the washing machine + dishwasher .
Then getting hammered and wrapping presents .

Will be very disappointed if I do not see at least one young lady dressed as Little Miss Santa.

A couple of post work beers revealed the predictable 'Next shirt and bottle of Peroni' part-time lightweights talking far too loudly, and generally being ****s! So it's the sofa until the local is back to less bell-endified normality again

My quaint Mid Wales village reminds me of Ethiopia when food parcels are handed out during a famine- except here, everyone just wants to get shite faced .
