I have an iPhone and it has a particular nuisance snd I'm not sure what to google to be able to find out how to fix. So STW will be bound to know how to!
When out and about, photos, notes, Voice Memos etc are geotagged and labeled - for instance it's easy to find what photos are taken in the Cairngorms etc.
However, my next door neighbour has a company - lets call it "Dave's Coke & Hooker emporium". As a result photos/notes/memos etc created at home are all tagged and labeled under "Dave's Coke & Hooker emporium" and not something useful like "Home".
What setting do I need to alter to make MacOS ignore that/a particular business and not be geotagged to that location?
Thanks
Might be worth trying to add your home address to apple maps if you haven't already? (even if you use google maps)
I’d stick with “ Dave’s Coke & Hooker emporium”, it sounds much more interesting.
(vaguely 😃) interesting one. When I look on the map at my house, the vast majority of photos are geotagged correctly, but a small number are randomly tagged to incorrect addresses up to half a mile away!
As to what can be done about it... dunno! Remove your roof so your phone gets a better GPS lock?
Does your iPhone/Mac actually know what your home address is? (Under contacts, or whatever)
