Can still buy them direct from Apple for not very much. I'd help out, but mine is only a single user license disk I'm afraid.

I updated my 2011 through the app store But beware
check with the Apple store as there have been conflict of software
mainly with the 2010 range it maybe sorted now but check anyway

I think you have to go through leopard (historically, not entirely sure why you would 'have' to though)

Hi Kbrembo my updated Macbook pro came with Snow leopard
The 2011 updated macs did not come with Lion

After updating I did at first have the Safari turn its self on and my
emails turned on without request but taken into a Genius at the
store that sorted it out straight away.

You NEED 10.6.8 already installed to have the app store. So that's no help at all to the OP

Doesn't matter at all, you can skip a generation of OS no problem. Even easier if you're doing a clean install anyway.

What the OP needs is to either buy a single user copy of Snow Leopard which should only be about £20 or so, or borrow someone's multi user copy for a few quid.

FWIW (probably not much) I sell Mac's these days (new and used), if you've got any tech questions fire away and I'll see if I can help...

Mboy....

Do you have a copy?

I just really want to get iTunes 10.5 so I can sync all the toys together. My mac with tiger is running great so don't need a new machine

Cheers
