Our old imac has gone bang.

Get new imac. Migrate from time machine which seems to go well.

However, the licence from Office 2011 hasn't migrated, and typing in the number doesn't work (I suppose not surprising as the old one hasn't been de-registered).

Is there any way of transferring across or do we have to buy a new licence ?

Thanks

I phoned Microsoft up once when I had a problem like this.

Odd. Last time I rang MS the automated dialler went, "press 1 for Office for Mac, press 2 for all other queries."

It was the product activation line. Dunno offhand, the number came from a "this copy of Windows is not activated" prompt.
