Afternoon all,

One for all you mac types out there.

Can I use the memory from a desktop G4 in a desktop G5, the modules fit but I don't want to fry either the G5 or the memory if they're not compatible?

Thanks

It's not so much as 'what do I need'? I've used Crucial before, My problem is more, 'will what I've got already in the G4 work in the G5', I just don't want to damage either the memory or the G5 trying it.

Which G5?

Pretty sure later models took faster RAM IIRC.

Seem to remember that RAM cannot be swapped between G4 & G5 models.

HTH.

As above - you need to check on one of the configurator websites for both machines. Stuff uk has one on their site
