Do they hang over and do it upside down or climb over and hold on tight?

Who knows. No one ever sees anyone doing it.

IIRC this all started years ago with the Buddhists(Or some other religion) and their Gouranga paintings.

See the Caned ones every day on my way to work, and what must be the last surviving Gouranga one on the way home.

Always liked 'Fanny Licking Belt Whippers' on a bridge on Nuthurst Road in Moston. 'Free The Weed' in the middle of Tod brings back happy memories, as does 'Viraj Mendis is our friend' - John Methuen was a decent bloke.

'Far away is close at hand in images of elsewhere', was brilliant.  Never got to see it in person.

Beaten to it!

Can you still see "M Kahn is bent" over the NCR at Friern Barnet?

I've always liked "evil blizzard are sh!t" painted on the side of a trailer in a field by the M55. Regularly gets painted over then re-done within a few days.

Over the M60 some conspiracy theorist (JHJ?) has painted "9/11 was an inside job". But they haven't - the 9 is backwards so they've actually written "Gill was an inside job".

I miss "sinbad is innocent" from Treforest, limited view as not a main road.

A bridge in Wath on Dearne was emblazoned with “**** Thatcher and the Scabs” and “PC Scothern ****s dead donkeys”.

I always wondered who PC Scothern was & who he’d arrested...

There is a street level railway bridge on Park Lane in Wembley that had RADIO CAROLINE FOREVER daubed in massive white letters on it for years.

Got removed about 5 years ago, maybe a bit longer. Bit gutted the first time I saw it had been removed - it was part of the furniture!

Anyone remember Hit The North on the bridge before the M5/M6 junction coming north? Always start singing the Fall a couple of miles before even years after its gone.

Not seen that, but 'Rollers Forever' and 'Doc's Red Army' were still in evidence in Collyhust fifteen years after Tommy had quit and tartan flares had ceased to be a popular fashion item.

'Sidewalk' in neon on the old spiral Arndale carpark ramp on Shudehill was a fixture for years too - I miss that one.

I knew that name rang a bell, he was on one of those police interceptor type programs a few years ago. 1:40 in.

Gouranga was the Hari Krishna lot. I assume the one you are seeing is the Darwen exit of M65, Rusty Spanner?

There used to be a properly random one in Shoe Valley, Rossendale. PIGEONS painted on a cliff Always intrigued me that one.
