A few years ago there was awesome bbc dramas, now there looks like a John Hurt whistle down the wind, anyone know if theres any other showing?

Think you mean "Whistle & I'll Come to You". Seems there aren't any others coming up, according to [url= http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbctwo/programmes/genres/drama/horrorandsupernatural ]this[/url]. Most of the MRJ TV dramatisations were one-offs for xmas I believe.
I'm a big MR James fan, so thanks for flagging this up. Will be watching. But have to say I think the stories don't work nearly as well on the screen as they do on the page. IMHO. The modern-dress version of "Casting the Runes" they made in the '70s was just embarrassing.
Looking forward to Whistle... One of the torrent sites had a few of the old dramatisations - I downloaded them last year and really enjoyed them. Can't remember which one it was. Maybe demonoid or thebox. Can find out if you like.
