I need to figure out how I can bring packed lunches to work when I am staying in a hotel. It has to be cheap.

Any ideas? The only thing I can think of that's tasty and will keep without a fridge is tortillas and chocolate spread. Butter tends to keep well enough I find, but cheese doesn't.

You can add ketchup and weetabix to the list.

There *might* be hot water available at work, but lets assume there isn't. Also no microwave.

And I will report the post of anyone who suggests peanut butter on grounds of obscenity.

Could you keep chickens at work and live on omelettes?

That is a fantastic idea! Breakfast is free if I want it at the hotel, and I am not currently eating it.

Do you not have one of those little minibar fridges?

+1 to the 'big pockets at breakfast approach'. There will normally be a enough bits you can nick. I had the kids hiding stuff in their hoodies when we were on our hols. Felt like Fagin.

Prior to posting this, you've not given it an awful lot of thought, have you Molly?

You still in the desolate northern wastes BTW? We're riding tonight. We will be doing next week too if you fancy it?

Getting back to the point.... They say that in london you're never more than 3 feet away from a rat, if you are still in the North West then you're never more than 100 yards from a ....

That's what I always do. Always a bonus if they have hard boiled eggs.

Take a camping stove to the hotel, cans of soup and some nice crusty bread from breakfast and you're done. Assuming you will be staying in the same room all the time?

I'm making the assumption you've not seen this

If you have and you're not taking advantage of it, you're clearly insane 😉

Sadly not, I was enjoying riding with you lot! No-one down here wants to go on a ride 🙁

On topic - the idea is not to have to purchase ready made food at lunchtime, on the basis that it's more expensive.

As for the camping stove idea - I'm talking about lunches, hotel is not near work.
