I did a bit of something to my left achilles a couple of years ago, stupidly trying to run on my toes to protect my knees (which had never given me any gyp, and never have since - doh. 🙁 ). It tends to be fine for everyday stuff, but sore if I run for the first five minutes or so, and having had a break from running until the last six weeks, the right one feels now much the same, although I'm no longer running on my toes. But I've noticed there's now a lump on the left one - if you run your finger down the outside edge it's perfectly smooth, but the inside edge has a lump on it, a bit like someone's cut a Malteser in half and pushed it under the skin. Sure I read that achilles don't tend to heal real good on their own so, as long as it's not too much bother, is it worth worrying about?
