I promised my son a trip to Chatel this year, and I need to book it up - I just want to check if Geneva is the best airport to fly into?
It has many daily flights from everywhere so a good start. Next stop is https://skyscanner.net
Yeah you want Geneva. However, if taking your own bikes, its worth considering driving too as it allows you to take more kit/spares and opens up more areas for day trips.
Also, assuming this is your first time, do you know that Chatel isn't really at many trails and its a bus ride to Pre La Joux?

Wont be taking our own bikes this time, but have been before and driven with bikes in the car.
I'm aware there are more central places, but like the familiarity of going back to where I "know".
I guess it's worth asking whether I'd use the same airport if staying somewhere else (?Morzine?)
You'd used the same airport for anywhere in the PDS. Its only when traveling to other parts of the alps that places like Lyon start being the better option
