Ours has started to grumble a bit , I'm thinking a light grease rather than oil ?
My wife (Susan) gets lubricated with a Sevilla Gin when she grumbles .... oh
I've no idea what this thread means but I'm going to hang around to find out. Who's Susan? And it is Sunday, give her a break.
Sunday, give her a break.
Sunday is the her busiest day, especially if we have friends round.
A light grease I'd think. Can you get into the workings of it ?
Or a replacement, they're not an expensive item, usually under a tenner.
Food grade mineral oil?
Food safe unlike regular oil, but not designed for eating or cooking. won't go manky over time like veg oil would.
You know when trucks couple up to a trailer? I'd scrape some of that 5th wheel grease from a local Eddie Stobart truck and use that.

I'm not sure, but I think I once saw a specialist movie on just this subject...

Actually, scratch that, something more viscous might be better to lube a 'well used' susan 🙂 , something like this?
You need Ambersil food grade silicone spray; RS components stock it.
I asked ChatGPT
To lubricate a lazy susan, you can use a light grease or a silicone-based lubricant. Here are the steps to lubricate your lazy susan:
Clean the surface of the lazy susan with a cloth to remove any dirt or debris.
Apply a small amount of lubricant to a cloth or a small brush.
Rub the lubricant onto the surface of the lazy susan, including the bearings and any moving parts.
Wipe away any excess lubricant with a clean cloth.
Test the lazy susan to make sure it is moving smoothly. If it is not, you may need to add more lubricant.
It is important to use a light grease or silicone-based lubricant because heavier lubricants, such as oil, can collect dirt and debris, which can cause the lazy susan to become even more difficult to turn.

That's absolutley hillarious! Brilliant!
I'm sure Rita and Bob took Susan for a turn...

They didn’t take her for a turn, they took her for a jump.
