Today’s icy dog walk had me sliding more than walking. I think I need some sort of mini crampons type things to go over my approach shoes.
Bear in mind it’s for low level forest dog walks so a pair of B1 mountain boots, grivel crampons and an ice axe would be a tad OTT…
Googling microspikes throws up quite a few suggestions so recommendations would be appreciated.

We've some burlier Nortec Alp spikes.
They are really quick to fit, just work, and have seen us up a few Munro's and hills. Perfect around the woods too...

Don't have much to compare to but I have Kahtoola microspikes which seem decent - quite popular in the lakes. Bit spendy though. The grivel ones look quite good but I've not tried them.
They seem to come in two flavours. Mini crampon style spikes and kind of springs. The spring ones are often enough for a dog walk but are a but more nipping into a shop or bit of clear pavement friendly.
I got some from ebay, the wife's are the same but hers are branded "hewolf" much to her disapproval 🤨
I've probably used my Kahtoola microspikes more than my actual crampons, super capable.
Those Nortecs look similar if not better.
The spring-y ones and the ones with rivets for spikes - both my wife and I bought a few different types last winter but invariably they only lasted a handful of 5k dog walks before they fell to pieces / snapped.
Hoping to spend a little bit more for a pair that'll last longer this year.
Thanks all!
