Has this been done already? A 40 minute LOTR episode shot for £3,000 by 160 amateur filmmakers. Just watched it and although it's not Peter Jackson it is pretty amazing.

*bump* worth a look 🙂
Cheers!
I'd heard nothing about this film and have been a massive Tolkien fan since I was a lad. 😀
I'd say they did a very good job of fitting in with the look and feel of the Jackson films, and the fight scene is really excellent, but the plot is based on a few paragraphs from Tolkein, and it shows. I'll certainly watch it again, and I enjoyed the "making of" clip too 🙂
I really enjoyed it. Looked good with my new 22.5" PC monitor. 🙂
A few scenes were filmed in Epping Forest which is local to me.
ta for that - very good!
This autumn you should also look out for Born of Hope, a story about Aragorn's early years.
Are there any other small budget films like this around? i really enjoyed it and I thought they did an excellent job on such a small budget
Does anyone else have a good FLV-MPG convertor ? I've downloaded the film, which plays well on my pooter as an FLV, but when I convert it to MPG (for my PVR) it's blocky and jerky 🙁
