Thought I'd ask on here as there's bound to be someone who's had the same issue.
My son just sold some wheels on Ebay that clearly stated collection only.
Someone won and paid more or less staight away, then realised how far it was to collect so an agreement was made for the buyer to arrange a courier to collect, which they did yesterday.Unfortunately the buyer is claiming only 3 have arrived.
Both parties have been in touch with courier and they've just said wait until tomorrow as it may turn up, and send them a picture of the boxes so they know what they're looking for, oh and driver doesn't have any records of how many parcels are to be collected... really?
Does somewhere really operate like this?
Firstly we were acually expecting some sort of scam, so this may be it, and secondly who loses out? Buyer because they arranged collection or seller because buyer arranged collection and ebay gets involved and just refunds buyer....

If the buyer organised the courier, then its their problem. The courier was their elected representative to act on their behalf, so the buyer has a contract with them, its nothing to do with you at all. I presume you have some paperwork to confirm collection at your end?

Has he marked them as 'collected'?
They were collected but signed for nothing unfortunately.
As a plus point the other 3 have the couriers labels stating 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4 so at least at some point they've acknowldeged the've had 4 wheels.
Hopefully panicking over nothing and that it turns up tommorrow, but a pain in the arse non the less.
He's been in touch to point her in the direction of the online reviews, to which she replied with she panicked and booked the first courier she found...
Paisley freight are decent enough, cheapest around for big stuff normally.
Can be a bit slow but if she's paid PayPal it's likely to be the usual scam, PayPal won't accept Paisley as one of their approved delivery service so they will just refund as item not received. Even if Paisley give you proof 4 parcels were signed for PayPal will side with buyer.
If you think she's legit try and help her as if she goes down the PayPal route you'll lose out.
