Hi

Recently become self employed and really need some sort of cover in case of injury ( therefore time off not earning) and just wondered what people recommend. Looked at a few but they dont pay out for the first 4 weeks or so which is as much use as a chocolate tea pot. I need something to cover both road and MTB riding.
Cheers

I think you'll find they all have a waiting period, 30 days seems to be the minimum.

Perhaps you could put 4 weeks pay to one side to cover a waiting period?

Sports Cover Direct's (which I have) :

Loss ofEarnings (TTD) payments are not payable in the first 14 days after the accident and are paid
for up to 26 weeks maximumfromthe date of the accident. Payments will never exceed 75% of average
weeklyincome.

Indeed it does look like most have a defered period before any payments are received. So with that in mind, any recommendations on good policies?
