Anything better value for money and better in use than Fiskars L77?
TIA.
I've got a pair of the L77s, they are light, easy to use and super sharp/efficient. BUT they are not my Go To when dealing with tangled growth, the curved anvil can be a real pain to locate into where you want it to go.
I have an old pair of Wilko telescopic loppers that are somewhat heavier but just work. They have a straight Anvil so can be easily sneaked into place.
I got some of those yellow handled ones last year from Lidl, they are telescopic handles & cut though big old branches plus we’re great value
Fiskars are ace but I'd go for bypass not anvil for the long term win.
I got the Lidel ones for £7 (?) when they were available.
Extending and bypass and still working fine.
Got Felco set for work which has been good.
Felco and Fiskars are both established good names. By pass ones are great for fine pruning, anvil ones are not as neat cutting but less susceptible damage from stones etc if you are doing rough work like cutting roots. I have felco bay pass loppers and secateurs for nice jobs and an unbranded anvil pair like the Corona compound action ones bought from Mole Valley Farmers about 30 years ago and still going strong.
