Hi chaps,

Myself and my partner are looking to rent a cottage in the Perth and Kinross area, if you or anyone you know are looking to rent our your house / cottage - let me know.

We're looking to move up at the start of August and the period would be at least 6 months, most likely more.

My email address is in my profile,

Cheers

Ricks

I'm pretty sure I saw a nice looking cottage to let in Methven about 5 miles west of Perth if that's of interest. Small'ish, garden and view onto the playing fields. I can send you the agent details and a pic from phone if you want - not till w/end though

Where will you be working / need to get to? Some areas are nicer than others.

Working in Perth, not bothered about travelling about an hour into work. Seen a lovely looking property, going to see about popping up to meet the landlord to see if we'd fit in with the community.

I'd be looking at specific locations. Traffic in Perth is hardly bad, but getting across the river from the south and east can be a ball ache at rush hour - important consideration for Scone.

Dunkeld is very nice!

YGM - east of the river, but you can cross at Meikleour and come down the A9 or head south, join the A90 then cross the river on the Fiarton Bridge

Cheers chaps - I'll have a look at your info BBSB 🙂

Any other info is very welcome, I think the furthest north I want to go is Aberfeldy, having the Tay Forest close by will be ace 🙂

Aberfeldy's nice, but a bit remote. Awesome if you're into white water kayaking though.
Dunkeld has The Hermitage - excellent trails and magic waterfall, plus just a hop skip and a jump down the A9 to Perth. Top fish and chip shop as well, something notably lacking in Perth

Would suggest you look south west,Bridge of Earn or further afield Auchterarder, Crieff has quite a lot of property and decent enough high st, or a wee bit south into Dollar, Milnathort. Keeps you that wee bit closer to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Have you considered Fife? Towns like Cupar and Auchtermuchty (next to Pitmedden forest) are easily with half an hours drive.
