I'm going to build a bouldering wall at home and plywood is crazzzzy expensive now. Anyone got any seconds boards 18mm thick that I could buy for a reasonable price?
or any ideas where to source some?!
Thanks!
how much are you looking for and what do you consider to be expensive? 18mm needn't be that pricy.
OSB is a bit cheaper, try Facebook marketplace, always used stuff going cheap locally.
What you been quoted?
Have a look on Facebook marketplace and places like that. Often some used stuff on there.
I was hoping for less than £30 a board for new. OSB has some pro's and cons apparently and some people say its fine and others say stick with ply!
I've seen some seconds about 60 miles away for £15 a board but its hard to tell in the pics how rough they are. I'll probably end up painting it.
The ply has to be good enough that theres no pockets of air or a crap load of glue and not much fibre I guess as the little tnuts probably put quite a bit of stress on the board.
FB is empty around here at the mo
Thanks
Alex
sorry 18mm thick!
